A room within a room. That’s what I loved about my experience at SeaCoast Inn, one of Baler’s top 5 resorts.
It was my first time to experience this kind of room at SeaCoast Inn in Baler. When I opened the door to room 207, I was immediately excited. There were three bunk beds good for six persons. A bunk bed has two beds, one on top of the other, and there’s a ladder for you to climb the top bed.
Each bed came with curtains, individual power outlets, and a lamp. It’s like having a room within a room! I can go inside, shut the curtains, turn the lamp on, charge my gadget, and retreat into my own world. Hahaha. But seriously. Having curtains was big help to minimize distractions from friends fixing their bags and walking around the room when I want to rest. And when it’s time for lights out, it’s okay to keep my lamp on because I have my curtains closed. I did have to allow some curtain space opened for the air-conditioning to cool my bed area.
There’s a wall separating our room from the sink area, toilet, and shower room. I like what they did. So if my friends need to go to the toilet, or wash-up, or take a bath, I wouldn’t be disturbed. Now, if there are six of you and you need to rush, there are separate shower rooms and toilets for public use, still on the second floor.
Kristine Go-Lacanilao, the owner of SeaCoast Inn, said our room’s perfect for backpackers too where each can pay separately. They can make use of drawers with locks to put their belongings for security.
She added that there’s still more to expect from SeaCoast Inn that made its soft launch on October 8, 2014. By first quarter of 2015, they will have a grand launch and you can expect their restobar to open, plus their white sand area. SeaCoast Inn is not actually located in front of the beach, but Kristine said, once the construction of the white sand area is complete, guests will somehow feel like they’re near the seacoast.
The place was very clean. It has three dominant colors – white, dark brown, and blue. I like it that they kept the design simple.
They also have a pool area that’s interesting. It has several submerged stools attached to the floor of the swimming pool. You can sit on it, or stand on it, and appear like you’re walking on water.
SeaCoast Inn has a total of 14 rooms available, rooms 101 to 106, and rooms 201 to 208. They can comfortably accommodate 60 persons simultaneously, with a maximum capacity of 90 persons.
